maybe it's just me, but wouldn't a cyberpunk themepark be a hell of an oxymoron?

I mean, what is a theme park really if not a front for getting a corporation more money? It's marketing designed to attract the lowest common denominator of society to show up in droves and empty their wallets to fatten the company's..

Laser tag.

Tron themed ultimate frizzbee.

Simulations of a virtual simulations.

Confusing moments where you're not sure if guys in suits chasing you is part of the game or if park security is trying to throw you out.

Wondering if that guy behind the mens room is really shooting up or if hes just part of the atmosphere.

pretty much just a room with a few terminals you can jack into.

Kind of like a porn theatre I guess...

How about replacing current rides, real estate or mascots some theme parks are known for?

What would your "Disney cy Castle" consist of mate?

What would your cy mickey mouse look, say and do?

Yeah, burning man is fun, you've been? I've gone in 03,06,07. Everything is expensive near the end.... 1ltr. bottle water for 10 USD and warm enough to cook ramen with lol.

>_< O.K. now I feel like an idiot (again)

Yeah the whole coporate thing comes into play, but I think that might work as some kind of advantage.

Idk I kinda thought a cyberpunked Tommorowland or something would be cool.

Pretty sure even people in cyberpunk media are interested in making profit. Last time I checked William Gibson wasn't giving away handwritten copies of neuromancer out the back of a truck.

Themes parks are already pretty CP. They're basically Private Cities and sprawling shopping Malls. the bigger ones have their own Police and medical response teams, to avoid the Press. They're covered in neon and constantly burning energy. Full of high end tech meant for entertainment, and Animatronic SHARKSSS!!!!!

Cyber Sharks with jet propulsion!
