Hi all, haven't posted for sometime so big apologies for dropping in for some self promo!
I have a c-punk ebook up on Amazon named Alpha Two - by me Andrew Seas...
Its available on the kindle platform which is downloadable as a free app on most platforms. On the right hand side if you click on 'send sample' then the first three chapters will send to your kindle app. the 'look inside' doesnt seem to work.
http://www.amazon.com/Alpha-Two-ebook/dp/B0054E2WOE/ref=sr_1_6?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1313064251&sr=1-6
the year is 2105. True cyberspace has begun in the form of the neural-net, where humans interface their psyche to a virtual world. Helix Carone, a key programmer for the company that created the neural- net is now on the run, having sold the company’s source-code on the black-market. He’s hiding out in the LA Fire Zone, an irradiated area now infested with tech gangs and littered with societies outcasts.
Once financially able, Helix plans to get his biometrics altered and return to utopian society, but then something throws his plans into chaos. Alpha Two, an android built by the same company has escaped from the Lunar One research facility and is being hunted by the International Security Agency.
Helix alone knows who is responsible for the android’s sabotage and in time he will join its mission and discover why…
I did the cover artwork, its actually an image of an AI that is described later in the book...

I'm not really into ass kissing, so I'll be honest and say that it sounds like generic tedium...but I'll check it out and hope I'm proved wrong.

If by "generic tedium" you mean awesome subject matter that needs more books written about then yes.
I guess it contains common cyberpunk themes but lets face it.. the market for cyberpunk books is pretty small and it's hardly a flooded market. I'll check it out no doubt. :)
Then again I don't have an ebook reader and hate reading ebooks on my phone or laptop so we'll see. Certainly is one more reason to get an ebook reader though... _________________ What's more important, the data or the jazz? Thanks guys for having a crack at it...
I did a 100 book self-publish print run last year of which ive got only about 5 copies left. the feedback was very positive, but hey, these were people that had never even heard of the term 'cyberpunk'
So yeah, now is the real test when the fellow cyberpunks have a gander!
If any of you guys are in Australia and would like a copy of one of my remaining books, i am more than happy to post you a copy. PM me your address and i'll post it out to you for free.
I would much rather fellow c-punk followers have a read and post some feedback.
Thanks again. _________________ ...a matrix of light pulsating between the nerve-endings of net-loaders, most with the endless quest for alternate realities.

I don't see free, I see 4.99, which is a fair price, really, for an e-book. _________________ __o__

tonehog - i did a 100 book hard copy print run some time ago and have a few copies spare for those in Australia...
I really hope you guys give the ebook a crack...i think you'll be surprised (in a positive way) My editor sent me an email after i sent her the manuscript and said she doesnt say it lightly but she found she was getting engrossed in the story and forgetting she was supposed to be editing.
the book starts out in dystopia, however much of the world is rather utopian...
A lot of it is in cyberspace as the main character Helix Carone is fed instructions from the android, Alpha Two. There is a sub plot where some guy in the Fire Zone gets kidnapped and 'loses' his body...he doesnt know when he is in cyberspace or the real world, as the kidnappers attempt to extort money from his brother.
Helix is called upon to locate his actual body and jack him out... _________________ ...a matrix of light pulsating between the nerve-endings of net-loaders, most with the endless quest for alternate realities.
