Im kinda stooked that Max Headroom (both film and TV series) hasn't been reviewed here yet? It's maybe the only true Cyberpunk production within the realms of film media.

I've only watched the first 3 episodes on Youtube and yeah it's real good. Is there a way to watch the rest there without skipping episodes?

First time I saw MAX Headroom on TV was on MTV.

Max Headroom is really something else.. A lot of things that were "predicted" in the show ended up becoming in a way very close to the reality we have now.. Not just the technology, but you can somewhat "link" some episodes together, that while unrelated in-story, really paint a picture when you view the universe as a whole..
In one episode, the voting process of the future is revealed to be entirely done through TV ratings.. In another episode, a station gets in league with terrorists to get exclusive first-coverage of their acts of terror, giving them top-ratings.. No one is above faking anything they can to be the "top dog" in a world where quite literally ratings equals control of the population..

I think it would be the best if you write a review about the Series and post it here in the Forum. (This part of the forum is for users to submit Reviews which may be uploaded on the main page.) It's a better method than hoping that other persons write reviews. (At first, I only posted suggestions for reviews, but now, even 2 Reviews of me made it to the main page. )

No. the film is only out on Japanese DVD. But the boxset inclundes the complete series.

That's a shame  Seeing the movie on Channel 4 when it first aired was primarily responsible for my entry into the genre.

I rented the series from Netflix. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't get into it.
Some ideas were really funny and well executed like the Judicial System becoming a game show, or Terrorists making exclusive deals with TV networks for coverage like Pro Sports.
Then there was stuff that didn't make too much sense to me. Network 23 is the cliched evil corp. obsessed with controlling the masses through media. Yet they have guys like Edison Carter on the payroll, obsessed with getting the truth out through media. I also couldn't stand the boy genius that uploaded Max.
With that, this was just the 1st season and if you go back to any long lasting show, the first season is usually pretty shaky. the Show definitely had potential.
Also the show looked amazing, the city scapes were obviously inspired by Blade Runner, but when you get into the underworld and outskirts it's probably the closest thing to "the Sprawl" cp fans will see on film.

Agreed, the 1st season was shaky. the plot and elements seem to coalesce in later episodes...

Only max headroom I've seen was back to the future 2. But that YouTube clip makes me want to see much more.
