Ok, i am not muslim, but i am a fighter for freedom and also justice and also truth.

So, as most of us know, muslims are not allowed to eat pork/pig meat.

okay, in europe, they sell bread, yeah

nothing wrong, you might think...

think again.

they use products made from pig hair, to put in the bread. call it bread improvement supllements... etc.etc.

here a link (in dutch)
http://www.ontdekislam.nl/forum/viewtopic.php?t=41280
http://www.nd.nl/honk/nieuws/website-voor-slimme-kinderen
http://www.zeeburg.nu/cafe/comm/de_broodnodige_broodverbeteraar/
http://forums.marokko.nl/archive/index.php/t-9548.html

I think its not nice , to sell muslims bread, that contains hair from pigs, as muslims are not allowed to eat pig/pork, and also not hair from pigs. Its a shame, that in holland, and europe, they make the soul of muslims destroyed.

I myselve am not muslim, but i do not like this things. I have not muslim enemies, and i respect all humans.

E-920,921 = cysteine = gemaakt uit kippeveren, varkensharen, mensenharen en dierlijke eiwitten. zit heeeeel vaak in nederlands brood!!

E-920,921 = Cysteine = made from chicken feathers, pig hair, HUMAN HAIR en animal Prote´ne, are a lot of times in Dutch bread.

HUMAN HAIR ? Where the fuck do they get the human hair for the bread ?
Soylent green or so ?

scary shit....

if no one told the muslims in question that pig hair was being used to supplement bread, then they wouldn't know such a meaningless, arbitrary dietary rule were being violated and no harm would really be done

ps not all muslims even obey those laws

Thanks for the info, Stormy. Eating hair isn't top on my list, no matter what creature it comes from.

This sounds like a replacement for gluten.

yeah it's not a big deal, it's a supplement for health

I wonder whether Muslims would be able to eat synthetic pork

(also being developed in the Netherlands btw)

I don't eat pork, and I'm not muslim. I just don't eat animals that feast on their own feces.

pork is not as good as beef, and if I could get away with not eating it i would...
But since i live in Denmark, the country of freakin' bacon, I can't get away from it.

Do we even live in the same country? There are halal shops everywhere in the Netherlands (many supermarkets sell halal products as well), so this is really a non-issue.

It's quite a nasty thought to me to put hair of any kind in foods. If it happened in a restaurant, we'd send it back.
However, when people choose to live by some "meaningless, arbitrary dietary rule", like odenskrigare so well put it, then it's their own responsibility to check up on such things.

what the bakers are doing is supplying them with an amino acid, albeit one that they can make internally

they should be thankful that they can produce the proteins they need to live

what's so bad about that

even if they eat shit that doesn't mean pathogens in their shit will be more likely to get into a cut of pork that you eat

commercial meat probably does have shit in it, but for different reasons, and that criticism could apply to more than just pork

just cook it thoroughly

That's like the fish bladders they use to make Guinness. Raise your pint and don't tell any vegans.

Well, as far as I remember, yeast is classified as an animal, so vegan booze is not really an option...hehe...
