Hello all. As some of you already know I have built my own BBS system from scratch. I have played with Synchronet for sometime before but it had too many unnecesary options, and it was hard to configure, hence this project. It's almost ready (I still have to implement some of the features and fix some issues but those are minor things), and you can connect to it with your favorite telnet client (I recommend using PuTTy on Windows).
Address: chatsubo.dyndns.info
Port: 6666
You can login as guest, or create new account (no email needed, you just chose your login and password). I hope you'll enjoy. It's almost like time travel back to 70's ;]

I can't connect to it. but maybe it's just because of the company proxy, I'll try it at home too. In what language did you implement it, what APIs did you use, on what platform?

It's written in Java 1.6, it uses the following libraries:
- telnetd
- sqlitejdbc
- commons-logging and log4j
It runs on Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.
I'll make the code public when I finish it ;]

Wow, a BBS. I will look at it. I love that bizarre time travel. _________________ Anything we can do to a rat we can do to a human being, and we can do damn near *anything* to rats. - Bruce Sterling
