I don't think it was the original one. It was a plastic version of the system.

Man, all we have is bootlegged Chinese products here. I am not sure of the other details. But I am pretty certain it was an Atari of somekind, and did had built-in games.

^I used to have that on a bootlegged CD on Playstation. I think it had a megadrive... no, I think it was a Master system emulator. Nope, not that version of Sonic.

.kkriger is 96 kb - but it is godamn slow on my system. But so much better than those commercial games. 13 gigs, pshaw -- and that's even with their "smart" compression techniques and stuff.

Anyway, I want to play old rpgs. I don't know where to start. Don't worry, I got 40 gig worth of emus. Just tell me what game to start with.

Oh, and compression:

42 - Answer to everything

You guys don't want to know how long it took me to beat this level on sega as a child. the joy of dancing with gwar in full gimp gear was a great victory.

I would actually pause it and draw a map of where all the barrels were, so I wouldn't crash into them. Apologies for the annoying voiceover in the video.

Shadowrun on the Genesis
Final Fantasy VII on the PSX
Final Fantasy IV and VI on the SNES (those are the 'original' numbers in Japan, if you have US/English roms they would be #2 and 3)
Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Earthbound (SNES)
Super Mario RPG (SNES)
Dragon Warrior 1-2-3 (NES)
Secret of Mana series (SNES)

If you can, also, grab the PC games Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate 2 along with their expansions.

Bahahaha! I have finished all of the games that you have mentioned, except for Shadowrun.

And I am not talking about that old game, I consider them modern games actually.

I am talking old, as in 1980s old. You know, Wizardry, Ultima, M&M and stuff like that.

Well, I guess I have to go through them one by one.

Please do, and do a review for the games you liked best.
I have like 3.5k NES games, and I'm never going to go thru them all.

I'll one up your Leisure Suit Larry. Back when my dad first brought home our original IBM 5150 in like 81 or 82, he had a Infocom-esque text adventure called Softporn, which was the exact same game that was eventually adapted into Leisure Suit Larry, only 100% graphics free. So at like 9 or 10 years old, I played through the entire game and was pleasantly surprised to find an exact scene for scene duplicate with graphics a couple years later when I got hold of Leisure Suit Larry

It seems, that there is not a topic about retro gaming that is actual.

So, here;s my 5 eurocents:

Talk/write about your memories of the old classics you played. the older the better... so i talk a lot about games of the 80s and the Atari era.

I mostly also play old games, because the new games normally dont interest me... i played games like gta4 and so out of curiosity..(which wasn`t bad), but most modern games, i dont like.. the design of nowadays i dont like, they generally dont give me much...

I like to play snes (super nintendo/super famicom) games.. i owned one many years ago, now i play them on emulator.. i think many of you wouldnt consider it as very old.. but for me it is... 16 bit era... btw. i'm 29 years old..
i like the classics, such as prince of persia (the snes version is the best imho), super metroid, zelda III, earthbound, etc...
i have also an sega megadrive emulator... so mostly i like 90ies games... this is what i consider retro..

but i have even an atari emulator downloaded some time ago.. because i was curios of a certain atari game: captain blood.. but is wasnt as good as i thought.. i have also other atari roms, such as predator.. but most of the games seem to need a joystick to play...

furthermore i play dos games.. have a bunch of games also on my laptop.. mostly they run fine... some dont.. i wanted to play psygnosis´ barbarian some time ago, because of early childhood memories (i remember it playing at someone on a pc), but there seem to be problems with the gaming speed (runs to fast).. i also played altered beast.. but i didnt like it.. well i have a bunch of dosgames as i said, also some adventures, but havent played most of them through yet, because of some lack of motivation...

greetings...

It's from S.D.I. by Cinemaware. It's uber hard, I never beat it.
