This description will be a bit vague, but that is why i havent been able to find it by myself. My excuse is i read it quite a while ago.

It starts of with a female protagonist, in some sort of city environment where she is linked virtually to the other inhabitants, they have virtual experiences. She escapes from this to some sort of country environment, maybe she has lost her memory. Then she goes travelling, searching for something in various places.

Any help is much appreciated.

I have been searching for this book for ages, so any help is much appreciated. Here are some more details.

Science fiction book with a female lead and pretty sure 1st person. There is a virtual reality with simulations that she escapes from. I think she heads to the country and is recovering her memory.
